Admission Procedures
Eligibility
The candidate applying for admission to the BBS programme:
- Must have completed the 10+2 in business/ commerce or an equivalent course from a Higher Secondary School Board or Tribhuvan University or other University/ Board recognized by T.U
- Must satisfy any other entry requirements or criteria as prescribed by the Faculty Board or the campus.
Attendance, Evaluation, and Grading System
The final evaluation of students is done through the annual examination conducted by the office of the Controller of Examinations, Tribhuvan University. However, for qualifying to appear in the annual examinations, students must meet the following requirements:
- The student must have a minimum of 85 percent attendance of the classes held.
- No student will be allowed to appear in the second year final examinations without first appearing in the first year final examinations
Entrance Test
Applicants will have to appear at the Entrance Test designed to evaluate the abilities for the programme as per Tribhuvan University (TU) rules and regulations. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences will conduct an ENTRANCE EXAM that will test the basic ability of the students.
The college will conduct interviews for selecting suitable candidates. The admission committee of the college has the final authority in selecting the students for the BCA Programme.
The grading system in the annual examinations is as follows:

- Students who want to enroll for BCA Programme must pass the Entrance examination conducted by TU
- Minimum grade ‘D+’ in all the subjects of 11 and 12
- Students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from the recognized academic institute with second division (securing 40% and above) or 2 CGPA are eligible to enroll in this programme
- Students must secure at least 40% in the Entrance Exam in order to qualify for the interview
Application Forms
Applicants should enclose the following documents:
- A certificate of intermediate or equivalent degree in commerce or Plus Two having at least grade ‘D+ in all the subjects of 11 and 12
- ENTRANCE Result Certificate
- ENTRANCE Test Admit Card
- Citizenship certificate copy
- 2 PP size photos
- Character certificate of School for 10 and 10+2
- Provisional certificate from NEB copy
- ORIGINAL Migration certificate from NEB

The list of selected students will be placed on the college notice board and website. The college grants admission to successful candidates strictly on a merit basis. Only 35 seats are available for admission in the BCA program.

- Students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from the recognized academic institute with second division (securing 45% and above) or 1.8 CGPA are eligible to enroll in this programme
- Students must secure at least 40% in CMAT in order to qualify for the interview

Entrance Test
Applicants will have to appear at the Entrance Test designed to evaluate the abilities for the programme as per Tribhuvan University (TU) rules and regulations. The Faculty of Management will conduct a Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) that will test the basic ability of the students in verbal ability and quantitative ability. The test shall be based on the SAT format. The test will follow the standard testing pattern and may include areas like verbal ability, quantitative ability, logical reasoning and general awareness.
The college will conduct interviews for selecting suitable candidates. The admission committee of the college has the final authority in selecting the students for the BBM Programme.
Selection and Registration
Selection of the students will be based on the applicant's previous academic performance, interview and other eligibility criteria for admission. The list of selected students will be placed on the college notice board. The college grants admission to successful candidates strictly on a merit basis. Only 44 seats and 4 scholarships are available for admission in BBM including scholarship quota (i.e. 8 seats).
Admission Procedures
Eligibility
1) Admission for MBS programme
The student applying for admission to MBS course must have successfully completed the BBS programme or a bachelor degree on any discipline from Tribhuvan University or from any other university recognized by Tribhuvan University
2) Admission Test
- The Faculty of Management (FOM) shall conduct a Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) for the MBS level. Students eligible for the MBS programme must sit in the CMAT in order to qualify to apply for admission to the campuses offering the MBS programme. The FOM shall issue a score sheet to each student appearing in the CMAT.

The test carries full marks of 100 and it must be completed within 90 minutes.
Test Contents: There are 100 test items. The test covers five sections. The details of the test are as follows:

Students must submit their application for admission to the campuses along with the score-sheet. Campuses shall prepare their admission merit list based on the CMAT score. The admission shall be strictly on a competitive basis. The applicants must enclose along with application form attested copies of: certificates/testimonials of all examinations passed; equivalence, transfer and character certificates, wherever applicable and Two passport size photographs.
- Candidates selected for admission will have to produce at the time of admission original certificates/testimonials of all examinations passed.

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR ADMISSION
The students securing the First, Second and Third positions in the final examination of every semester and annual program will obtain full tuition fee scholarship, three quarters’ tuition fee scholarship and half tuition fee scholarship respectively.
UC provides the “United College Prize” to top three students in every Terminal Examination. United College also confers the “Best Student Award” each year the student judged as the best from each level.
