Introduction
The Research and Extension Committee shall be formed by the College Management Committee. The committee is in charge of building a research culture and ensuring high-quality research. This committee will strive to improve faculty and student academic research capabilities as well as establish and implement a research and development strategy.
Objectives of the Committee
- To foster a research culture and strive to do high-quality academic and interdisciplinary research.
- Developing and implementing extensions and outreach programs for disadvantaged populations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To prepare strategic research and extension programme plan for the college.
- To conduct academic research to assess the needs and the capacity of teachers and students.
- Conduct a Tracer study and student satisfaction survey and make the results public.
- Create an environment that is conducive to research and development.
- Manage research funding and ensure that they are distributed to deserving scholars.
- Form alliances with outside organizations and provide research consulting services.
- Organize training, seminars, workshops and orientation to improve the research scholar’s capabilities.
- Research the impact of information systems on decision-making.
- Conduct a public information impact analysis on the quality improvement process.
- The combination of research and teaching is the subject of a Perform Outcomes study.
- Research articles should be published.
- Publication of a scientific journal.
- Design and implement an extension and outreach campaign.
- To improve the effectiveness of the extension program, establish collaborations with local institutions.
