The current new wave of COVID has locked down everyone at home. And we have our new students who are eagerly hoping for college to start and they can finally get into their college journey. Staying at home can sometimes be unproductive, but if you utilized the resources and learning enthusiasm the right way, you can always learn something new.

Here, we have shared a list of a few books which you can go through at home and keep yourself motivated:

1. Normal People - Sally Rooney Normal People is a 2018 novel by the Irish author Sally Rooney. Normal People is Rooney’s second novel, published after Conversations with Friends. The book became a best-seller in the US, selling almost 64,000 copies in hardcover in its first four months of release.
2. Where the Crawdads Sing - Delia Owens Where the Crawdads Sing is a 2018 novel by American author Delia Owens. It has topped The New York Times Fiction Best Sellers of 2019 and The New York Times Fiction Best Sellers of 2020 for a combined 32 non-consecutive weeks. As of late January 2021, the book has spent 124 weeks on the best-seller list.
3. Karnali Blues - Karnali Blues is a book written by Buddhi Sagar and published by FinePrint publication, Nepal. Karnali Blues is a story about a young boy who travels through different phases of his life with his parents. The story’s main focus is on the protagonist’s father.
4. Palpasa Cafe -Palpasa Cafe is a novel by Nepali author Narayan Wagle. It tells the story of an artist, Drishya, during the height of the Nepalese Civil War. The novel is partly a love story of Drishya and the first-generation American Nepali, Palpasa, who has returned to the land of her parents after 9/11.
5. The Kite Runner - The Kite Runner is the first novel by Afghan-American author Khaled Hosseini. Published in 2003 by Riverhead Books, it tells the story of Amir, a young boy from the Wazir Akbar Khan district of Kabul.
6. Sharp Object - Gillian Flynn Sharp Objects is the 2006 debut novel by American author Gillian Flynn. The book was first published through Shaye Areheart Books on September 26, 2006, and has subsequently been reprinted through Broadway Books. 
7. War on Peace - Ronan Farrow War on Peace” details how American policy is being driven by military leaders rather than the State Department.
8. The Silk Road - Peter Frankopan The silk roads of the title are the arteries along which people, goods, ideas, religions, diseases, and many other things have flowed. … But if trade, or the promise of wealth, has always been the engine to drive people along the silk roads, other things have been carried along with it.
9. How to make the World add up - Tim Harford draws on his experience as both an economist and presenter of the BBC’s radio show ‘More or Less’ to take us deep into the world of disinformation and obfuscation, bad research, and misplaced motivation to find those priceless jewels of data and analysis that make communicating with numbers so rewarding.
10. Ariadne - Jennifer Saint Ariadne by Jennifer Saint is a mythological retelling of the ancient Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur.
11. The Last House on Needless Street - Catriona Ward When a little girl goes missing from the beach near his house Ted Bannerman is the prime suspect, but he is never arrested. Eleven years later he is still under suspicion.
