Welcoming the New Academic Year for BCA, BBM, and BBS Students!

United College proudly organized the Orientation Program 2082 for the new batch of BCA, BBM, and BBS students, marking the beginning of a vibrant academic journey. The event was a perfect blend of knowledge-sharing, cultural performances, and inspirational speeches, designed to acquaint students with the college, its values, faculty, and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

A Warm Welcome to Our Guests and Students

The program began bright and early at 8:00 AM, 16 November 2025, with student registration, followed by the seating of distinguished guests, including Drip Chamling, Founder Chairperson of United Academy Group, Dr. Kabi Raj Bantawa, Founder Academic Director, Nara Hang Rai, Founder Director, and other prominent members of the United Academy Group leadership team. Special guests Prayas Rajopadhyaya, Founder of Homini Labs and Culture Strategist, and Sandesh Bhattarai, CEO of Orson Info Tech and AI Expert, were also present, sharing their valuable insights with the students.

Inauguration and Cultural Festivities

The official inauguration of the program featured the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr. Lal Rapacha, the Campus Chief of United College, followed by the National Anthem. The welcome speech by Dr. Rapacha set an inspiring tone for the day, emphasizing the college’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development.

The orientation was not just about formal introductions. Students were treated to a welcome dance performance by Yasodha & The Group, and later, individual performances including a dance by Pratisara Shakya, another by Monalika & Roshani, and a soulful song by Aabha K.C., adding color and energy to the morning.

Informative Sessions and Expert Insights

Mahesh Aryal, Program Director, provided a detailed overview of the college, including its code of conduct, programs offered, and faculty introductions. Dr. Binod Lingden, Research Coordinator, and Dr. Kabi Raj Bantawa, Academic Director, shared insights into academic research and college life. Students also benefited from industry perspectives as Prayas Rajopadhyaya spoke on management and leadership, and Sandesh Bhattarai offered guidance on the IT sector, especially in AI and full-stack development.

In addition, students heard from senior students Upasana Barahi and Supriya Poudel, who shared their personal college experiences, inspiring the newcomers with tips on making the most of their time at United College.

Highlights

The formal program concluded with the distribution of tokens of love to the guests by Dr. Lal Rapacha, campus chief of United College, a heartfelt vote of thanks by Basanta Nepali, and the official conclusion of the orientation. Students and guests then enjoyed tea, coffee, and snacks, providing an opportunity for informal interaction and networking.

The entire event was smoothly hosted by Sandhya Rai, ensuring every segment transitioned seamlessly. The Orientation Program 2082 not only welcomed students to the academic world of United College but also fostered a sense of community, inspiration, and motivation among all participants.
