UCEII Initiatives

United Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Incubation (UCEII) is a dynamic platform designed to support students at every step of their entrepreneurial journey from business concept development to new business start-up. By fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, UCEII empowers students to develop practical skills, explore creative ideas, and transform concepts into real-world ventures. With mentorship, networking, funding support, and hands-on guidance, students gain the tools and confidence needed to thrive in today’s competitive entrepreneurial landscape.
A flagship initiative of UCEII is United Ignite, a business idea pitching competition that allows students to showcase their innovation, gain recognition, and compete for attractive prizes. Through this platform, participants present their entrepreneurial ideas before a panel of judges, showcasing creativity, problem-solving, and business acumen.
The competition unfolds in multiple stages, including initial idea screening, mentorship sessions, and a final live pitch event where shortlisted teams compete for top honors.
Winners receive certificates and attractive cash prizes. Moreover, any team with a viable business idea has the opportunity to receive seed funding of up to Rs 5,00,000, to kickstart their venture. Participants can also explore opportunities to sell their business ideas to interested investors or organizations.

United Ignite 1.0

UCEII hosted its first-ever United Ignite competition in 2024, marking the beginning of a platform for student creativity and innovation. The event attracted brilliant ideas and enthusiastic participation from students eager to make an impact. The winners were:

• 1st Place:Team Naya Straws (NayaStraws introduces 100% natural, biodegradable straws made from wheat stems offering a sustainable and practical alternative to single use plastic straws) – Subham Kharel & Shreedip Shah | Rs. 15,000
• 2nd Place:Giga Genius Team (Giga Genius is an innovative educational studio based in Nepal, dedicated to transforming the learning experience for children aged 3 to 12) – Sandhya Rai, Animon Rapacha & Lasata Tamrakar | Rs. 10,000
• 3rd Place:Ari Beauty Point & Training Centre – Grishma Shakya | Rs. 5,000

This first edition provided students with invaluable experience in presenting ideas, analyzing market potential, and building entrepreneurial confidence.

United Ignite 2.0 (in collaboration with Idea Studio Nepal)

Building on the success of the first edition, United Ignite 2.0 in 2025 was held independently in collaboration with Idea Studio Nepal. This edition provided a broader platform for students to showcase their creativity, access expanded mentorship, and compete at a national level. The winners were:

• 1st Place:Kritiya (Kirtiya offers custom rhinestone embellishments on traditional products such as sarees, potli bags, shawls, shoes, puja thali covers, and more) – Shivika Shrestha | Rs. 15,000 + Certificate
• 2nd Place:Maya Ghar (Maya Ghar is a culturally-rooted elderly day care center in Nepal. It offers a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for elders during the day. Our) – Nirjala Maharjan & Pratisara Shakya | Rs. 10,000 + Certificate
• 3rd Place:Thailo ('THAILO' Sustainable Paper Bag Production for a Greener Nepal) – Smriti Rai & Jharana Chaulagain | Rs. 5,000 + Certificate

Top performers from United Ignite 2.0 earned the opportunity to represent United College in national-level competitions, the ‘College Idea Hunt’, organized by Idea Studio Nepal showcasing their creativity, strategic thinking, and entrepreneurial talent.

Achievements

United College is proud to highlight that our students ranked among the Top 10 nationwide in the Idea Pitching Competition organized by Idea Studio Nepal in collaboration with UCEII. Their creativity, determination, and innovative mindset set them apart on a national stage.

Our two exceptional teams, VedaSugandha, (produces eco friendly dhoop (incense) sticks made from a sacred blend of cow dung and repurposed temple flowers) led by Pratyusha Ghimire and Jenisha Bajracharya, and Naya Straws (NayaStraws introduces 100% natural, biodegradable straws made from wheat stems offering a sustainable and practical alternative to single use plastic straws), represented by Subham Kharel and Shreedip Shah, were selected to compete at the national-level ‘College Idea Hunt’. Their selection is a testament not only to the originality and impact of their ideas but also to the dedicated mentorship, guidance, and support they received from UCEII, which helped them refine their concepts and prepare confidently for this prestigious platform.

Since its inception in 2022, UCEII has continuously encouraged students to think differently, explore new business ideas, and launch their own ventures. Achievements like these reflect the center’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and fostering a culture of innovation among students.

What We Offer?

UCEII designate a separate big shared space for entreprenuers with all the basic facilities and services to start the company quickly. It offers a shared office model where entrepreneurs can work together under one roof mutually cooperating with each other. A separate meeting room is provided for discussion with stakeholders, and clients and for private business decisions. An open discussion space is allotted for United College staff and members to track the progress of candidates, brainstorm their work and have regular progress meetings. Other than this United College will provide expert counselling and monitoring of candidate business individually.
