United College runs a Student Club Council that supervises nine active student clubs at United College, from Toastmasters to the Leo Club, so every student gets a structured way to build leadership, communication and community skills outside the classroom.
The Student Club Council is the central body that guides, monitors and supports all student clubs and extracurricular activities at United College. It plans and coordinates club programs so they stay aligned with the college's academic and developmental goals, and it promotes leadership, participation, teamwork, creativity and community engagement through structured cocurricular work.
The council's guiding purpose is simple: Learn, Lead, Serve, and Grow through Participation.
What the Council Does
The council does not run events on its own. Instead, it keeps every club working toward the same standard. Its core responsibilities include:
- Coordinating collaboration between all nine clubs so activities do not overlap or compete for the same resources
- Maintaining discipline and accountability across events run by clubs
- Allocating responsibilities to club leaders and committees
- Reviewing and improving the quality of initiatives run by students
- Encouraging student leadership, innovation, social responsibility and experiential learning beyond the classroom
Clubs Under the Student Club Council
United College offers clubs run by students so they can explore their interests and build soft skills alongside their degree. Being part of a club lets students apply classroom lessons in real situations, and it builds leadership and teamwork skills that carry directly into the workplace. The council currently coordinates nine clubs, including the Student Quality Circle (SQC).
